Jessenia L Nieves has always been enthusiastic about writing, she wrote her first children’s book out of the need to empower kid’s to be kind. As a school bus driver she saw so many kids being teased or made fun of how they look. She knew she needed to do something so she wrote her first book Jessie and The Kindness Beads. When the pandemic hit and the schools closed, Nieves rediscovered her love for writing. Her goal is to write children’s books that teach life lessons while celebrating each child’s distinctiveness and journey.  

Nieves is from Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. She lives in North Haven, Conn. with her husband and children.
